Surrounded by limestone mountains and rivers, Yangshuo is a perfect place to get yourself fully immersed in rich Chinese culture and history. This top rated Mandarin Chinese course is for all ages and levels taught by highly qualified teachers incorporating Western teaching methods. A number of complimentary services and activities are included to ensure students have an enjoyable and stress-free experience. The package includes: · Chinese Visa assistance and invitation letter · Placement test · Relevant textbooks and learning materials · Daily language exchange with a native Chinese speaker · Introduction to Yangshuo · Weekly social nights · Fortnightly cultural lessons · Weekend outings Every foreign student is partnered with one or more native Chinese students who are eager to have both language and cultural exchanges. After class or on weekends, foreign and Chinese students have conversations on a variety of topics or go on outings together around the beautiful town of Yangshuo. Depending on your goals, you can opt to take three or six 45-minute classes per day. You will be placed in a class (2 to 4 people) with other students at a similar proficiency level from beginner to proficient (levels 1 to 6). Every Thursday night at the academy is dedicated as "social night." It is free for students to attend and includes activities such as BBQs, cocktail nights, competitions, and games. Food and drinks are provided. Every two weeks, there is also a free cultural activity for you to learn about traditional Chinese customs. Choose from Chinese Calligraphy, Chinese Cooking, Kung Fu, Tai Chi, the art of tea-making, and art paper cutting. These classes provide you with an excellent opportunity to practice your Chinese language skills in real-life situations and learn more about China. On weekends, students are welcome to attend organize outings. These typically will be either a sightseeing tour into the surrounding countryside and nearby villages or activities such as bike riding, cave exploring, rafting, or hiking.
