Day 1: Windhoek – Mount Etijo Safari Lodge (300 km) (LD)
We begin our journey north, stopping at Namibia’s largest wood carving market along the way, arriving at our accommodation mid-afternoon with plenty of time to enjoy the beautiful surroundings and the wildlife at the waterhole.
Day 2: Mount Etijo Safari Lodge – Namutoni, East Etosha (300 km) (BLD)
We set off early so that we can arrive in Etosha before lunch. After some time to relax we set off on our first game drive in the afternoon. We get back to the lodge in time to watch the sunset at the wonderful King Nehale waterhole, hopefully joined by some wildlife too!
Day 3: Namutoni – Okaukuejo (BLD)
Today we spend the whole day game driving through Etosha National Park. We stop off at Halali Camp for lunch and to make use of their swimming pool and bar facilities before heading back out in the afternoon and making our way to the lodge. There is a wonderful flood lit waterhole in the grounds of the lodge, which we can enjoy in the evening, described as “the best game viewing opportunities in Southern Africa”.
Day 4: Okaukuejo – Hobatere (210 km) (BLD)
We set off in the morning and make our way out of Etosha National Park, arriving at Hobatere Lodge in the afternoon. There are many activities that you can choose from game drives to guided walks; there is also a floodlit waterhole to enjoy by the lodge.
Day 5: Hobatere – Twyfelfontein (340 km) (BLD)
On our way to our lodge in Twyfelfontein we stop off to visit a local Himba Tribe, learning all about their culture and lifestyle and stop off at Twyfelfontein itself to see the ancient Bushman rock engravings. We will arrive at our lodge late-afternoon.
Day 6: Twyfelfontein – Swakopmund, Skeleton Coast (420 km) (BL)
Today we make our way along skeleton coast, heading for Swakopmund. Along the way we visit an old mining town and the seals at Cape Cross, home to the largest seal colony in the world. From here we carry on to Swakopmund, arriving in the late-afternoon giving us some free time to have a look around the town.
Day 7: Swakopmund – Windhoek (350 km) (BL)
This morning allows some free time for you to take part in any activities if you wish to do so. We leave for Windhoek around lunch-time and aim to be back early-evening where you will be dropped off at your hotel/guesthouse.
