Day 1: Windhoek – Okaukuejo, Etosha National Park (450 km) (L,D) (en-suite standard room)
Travelling north from Windhoek, head for Etosha National Park, arriving at the gates mid-afternoon. Drive through the park heading for Okaukuejo. After dinner there is some time in the evening to relax and enjoy the famous flood-lit water hole that has been described as having ‘the best game viewing opportunities in Southern Africa’.
Day 2: Okaukejo – Namutoni (B,L,D) (en-suite standard room)
Enjoy a full day game driving slowly making your way to Namutoni. First, stop at a Halali camp for lunch and rest, making use of their bar and pool facilities, before heading back out for the afternoon.Your accommodation for the second night centers an old German Fort overlooking the King Nehale waterhole and provides wonderful views of the sunset.
Day 3: Namutoni – Windhoek (500 km) (B,L)Today, you leave Etosha and head along the scenic roads back to Windhoek. Lastly, stop at a local wood carving market along the way and get back to Windhoek late afternoon where you will be dropped back at your hotel/guesthouse.
