Auschwitz has become a primary symbol of the Holocaust. It was a network of Nazi concentration camps built and operated by the Third Reich in German-occupied Poland during World War II. The collection of the museum contains original documents, suitcases, shoes, and other belongings of the prisoners whose lives were taken. The original fences, wooden watchtowers, and railway ramps have also been preserved.
The tour also includes a short ride to Birkenau, which functioned as a war, extermination, and labor camp in Nazi Germany. Afterward, your day will conclude with drop-off back at your hotel in Lodz.
