Get picked up from your hotel at 8am or 12:30pm, depending on which option you select. Enjoy an open safari bus tour of historic Basseterre as your guide explains the French origin of the city and its English colonial period.
On this tour you will see and learn about historical landmarks including Basseterre Co-Cathedral of Immaculate Conception, Independence Square, the Anglican Church, and the War Memorial. Take in the sights of the colonial residential district with its Georgian architecture, as well as Fortlands and Ross University campus, then turn west towards Mount Liamuiga and see the tomb of Sir Thomas Warner in Old Road Town, where the first English Colony in the Caribbean was established in 1624.
Continue to the beautiful Wingfield Plantation and stroll through the restored 18th-century rum distillery as you learn its fascinating history from your guide. Then drive through quaint villages such as Middle Island and HalfWay Tree before boarding a luxury catamaran. Relax in the ocean breeze and enjoy refreshments from the open bar as you sail along the coast and under the guns of the majestic Brimstone Hill fortess.
