Then, visit Xintiandi, an area of reconstituted traditional mid-19th century Shikumen ("stone gate") houses on narrow alleys. The first congress of the Communist Party of China is here, and you can visit the museum if you are interested in.
In the afternoon, you will spend your time on the outskirts of Shanghai in Zhujiajiao, an incredibly scenic water village with historical landmarks. Boarding a traditional canal boat, you’ll encounter an aged temple, garden, and bridge.
