Meet your guide at City Hall Station where is the unique spot to see architecture history of Seoul. After a 15 minute walk, arrive at Gwanghwamun Gate, the main gate of Gyeongbokgung Palace. Here, your expert guide will teach you the history of the Joseon Dynasty and about the traditional architecture used at Gyeongbokgung Palace. As you move through the Palace compound, you will view buildings built in the year 1395 by great wooden architects. Next, visit the National Folk Museum of Korea which is located on the palace compounds. You will be able to view over 98,000 artifacts to experience the history of the Korean people from their everyday lives during prehistoric times through the end of the Joseon Dynasty in 1910. After spending 2 hours on the Palace grounds, your guide will then take you to Bukchon Hanok Village for an hour-long walking tour through Samcheongdong alley. Unlike other Hanok (traditional Korean house) villages, Bukchon was not created for tourists and is a living village inhabited by Seoulites, comprised of about 900 Hanoks spread across the district. After your time at Bukchon Hanok Village, your guide will take you to Insadong Street for lunch break. Your guide will take you to the City Hall after lunch break. Afternoon tour will resume heading to Namdaemun, the main gate of the old Seoul City. Namdaemun market is the oldest traditional and the most comprehensive market in Korea with over 10,000 stores that line the streets around Namdaemun(South Gate). After taking a look around the marketplace for an hour, your guide will then take you to the top of Namsan mountain by local public bus. On top of this mountain, you can enjoy a 360-degree view of Seoul and it is a romantic destination for Seoulites of all ages. After that, explore the nearby area around Palgakjeong (the octagonal pavilion) which also boasts breathtaking views. In addition, you will learn about fortification technology and enjoy the scenery while walking along an old fashioned stone road next to a wall preserved from the Joseon dynasty. You will remain in this area for a 30-minute. Next, go to the Namsan cable car station. You will ride the cable car from the top to the middle of mountain and then transfer to the inclined elevator which takes you to the ground level near Myeongdong street. Myeongdong is a shopping destination filled with inexpensive cosmetic boutiques and specialty apparel boutiques. As one of Seoul's leading tourist attractions and its busiest street, it is one of Seoul's must see sights. You also have option for a Show at Nanta Theater where you will be watching 90 minute performance titled 'Cooking Nanta a non-verbal performance integrating Korean traditional Samulnori rhythm with comic and drama in the kitchen. Audiences of all ages and nationalities can enjoy. The Nanta Show option tour concludes at Myeongdong.
