8-Day Costa Rica Natural Wonders Guided Adventure Hike

Day 1 (D)
After pickup at the San Jose airport, transfer to your hotel with free time to explore Costa Rica's capital city before dinner. 
Day 2 (B/D)
Travel 15 minutes from the city an begin a challenging hike to the base of the 400 foot (120 meter) Toro Waterfall which sinks into an extinct volcanic crater, then return to your hotel to enjoy a cooking class using organic vegetables and herbs to prepare traditional Costa Rican dishes with a chef.
Day 3 (B/L)
Hike 5 miles (8 km) to Cerro Chato near the Arenal Volcano through semi-challenging terrain, up and down hills, and through some muddy trails. Bring your bathing suit to swim in the clear pool beneath the 200 foot (60 meter) Fortuna Waterfall. In the evening, relax in the hot springs at your hotel.
Day 4 (B/L)
Trek to Rio Celeste and Tenorio Volcano National Park where monkeys, iguanas, sloths, butterflies, and frogs are frequently spotted.
Day 5 (B/L)
Head to the beach, stopping along the way to view the huge American Crocodiles basking in the sun at the Tarcoles River bridge. Arrive in time for sunset over the Costa Rican coast.
Day 6 (B/L)
After enjoying fresh fruit and coffee, begin hiking in the Quepos mountains through a private reserve that protects a large tract of jungle. Pass creeks and waterfalls inside the rain forest with opportunities for bird watching and wildlife spotting. 
Day 7 (D)
Enjoy a final swim in the ocean before transferring back to your hotel in San Jose. Enjoy dinner with a glass of wine and share stories, photos, and trip memories. 
Day 8
Private transfer takes you to Juan Santamaria International Airport for return flights home.
