After hotel pick-up at around 9am, you’l head out of the city towards the your first stop, Seljalandsfoss waterfall. Here, you’ll walk behind a magnificent cascade and enjoy the power of the fall.
Next on the agenda is Skógafoss waterfall, followed by the black sand beach of Reynisfjara with its basalt columns and famous Reynisdrangar pillars.
Then, for the remainder of the journey to your accommodation, you’ll travel through immense lava fields covered with green moss and surrounded by glaciers and mountains.
Day Two The second day begins with a visit to Jokulsarlon Glacier Lagoon. At Jokulsarlon, you’ll have the chance to join an amphibian boat tour during the summer, at other times you will be able to explore the environment on your own before we make our way to the glacier tongue.
Before starting the glacier hike, the guide runs through safety rules and ensures you know how to use the glacier hiking gear. Spend around an hour at the glacier, encountering crevasses, ice falls and the ancient blue ice.
After the glacier hike, set off on your return journey to Reykjavik.
