Your tour begins with an early meeting time a 3:30AM directly at the office of the tour provider (remember that you must approach to the meeting point!) for ready for a 12-hour whale-watching trip. Drive to
Muelle Prat, or Prat Pier, where you board your boat. Sail through the Straight of Magellan and admire the rising sun as you pass Tierra del Fuego and Fuerte Bulnes, Punta Arenas' first settlement.
Soak up the scenery, which includes exuberant flora and big hanging glaciers from the Darwin Range, as you cross Cape Froward, the southernmost point of the American continent.
Navigation continues through the Francisco Coloane Marine Park to observe humpback whales, Magellanic penguins, elephant seals, sea lions,
toninas (Chilean dolphins)
, cormorants, albatross, and more. After marveling at the abundant wildlife of this remote setting, refuel with a box lunch on board.
On the return boat journey, take the time to admire the incomparable views offered by this part of the world. You tour concludes at the same meeting point in the morning, the local tour provider's office in Punta Arenas.
