Stop At: Wildlife Habitat Port Douglas, Port Douglas, Queensland
The award-winning Wildlife Habitat is Australia’s leading environmental wildlife experience, providing visitors with a chance to get up close a huge range of iconic Australian animals in their recreated natural environments. Make your way through the Rainforest environment, and fully immerse yourself in the layers of the rainforest, from the floor to the canopy, whilst admiring the wildlife which occupy this world, including the southern cassowary. Wander our stork walk in the Wetlands and look out for the range of birds and other wildlife that call the area home, including the Black-Necked Stork. Savannah Habitat offers you the opportunity to get up close to an Emu, hand-feed kangaroos and wallabies or admire the Lumholtz’s Tree Kangaroo. It is also home to our Predator Plank, the world’s first plank walk over giant Estaurine Crocodiles! Join a guided tour with one of our experienced Wildlife Keepers to learn more about the wildlife inhabiting the park. You can cuddle a Koala, small crocodile or snake, and get a photo to remember the occasion. Start your day with a sumptuous Breakfast with the Birds or stop for a break and enjoy our delicious Lunch with the Lorikeets in the tropical restaurant setting.
