3-Day Sedona and Grand Canyon Traveler

• Please limit luggage to carry-on size only. Any bags larger than 9" x 14" x 22" should be left with your hotel.

Day One:
Travel through the Sonoran Desert to the red rock country of Sedona. You will have the afternoon and evening free to enjoy many Southwestern art galleries and unique shops. In addition, you can choose either a 2.5-hour scenic and historical tour or a wilderness jeep excursion. Many hiking trails are also nearby.

Overnight: Kings Ransom Sedona or equivalent

Day Two:
This morning your guide will meet you at your hotel to begin your tour through scenic Oak Creek Canyon. You'll arrive at the Grand Canyon Village around noon for your first dramatic view. Rooms will not be ready for occupancy until later in the afternoon, so your guide will present various options for you to enjoy. You have the afternoon free to hike, take an optional scenic air tour over the Canyon, spend time at the Visitor Center or just enjoy the views of the ever-changing colors of the Canyon.

Overnight: Grand Canyon Maswik Lodge or Yavapai Lodge

Day Three:
This morning you have free time to watch the sunrise over the Canyon, walk along the rim out to Yavapai Museum, or just enjoy the views. The early afternoon you are free to explore. You can add an optional helicopter tour or take advantage of the West Rim shuttle (seasonal) to enjoy other views of Grand Canyon. Return to Phoenix mid to late evening.

Day 1: Phoenix — Sedona
After morning pickup at your hotel in Phoenix, drive north for about two hours, traveling through the Sonoran Desert and into the red rock country of Sedona. See highlights of the area as you approach Sedona, where you have free time in the afternoon and evening explore the town’s shops, galleries and restaurants at your leisure. Also available (own expense): optional tours such as a wilderness excursion by Jeep or a 2.5-hour sightseeing tour by minivan. If you enjoy hiking, many excellent trails start nearby.

Overnight: Kings Ransom Sedona or equivalent

Day 2: Sedona — Grand Canyon
In the morning, your guide picks you up at your Sedona hotel and takes you to the Grand Canyon on a scenic route that winds through Oak Creek Canyon, considered the ‘little cousin’ to the Grand Canyon. Continuing on, passing through the Ponderosa Pine Forest and San Francisco Peaks and perhaps stopping at a Navajo trading post. Expect to reach Grand Canyon Village around noon and be amazed by your first views of the vast canyon. Your guide informs you of optional activities that you can select for the early afternoon, such as a scenic flight over the canyon (own expense), stopping at the Visitor Center, taking a walk on the South Rim and watching the changing colors of the canyon landscape. You can check in to your room later in the afternoon, and enjoy free time for the rest of the day.

Day 3: Grand Canyon — Phoenix:
Plan your morning and afternoon as you like, with optional activities such as a Grand Canyon helicopter tour or taking the West Rim shuttle to various viewpoints (seasonal). In the late afternoon, meet your driver and head back to Phoenix, a drive that takes approximately 3.5 hours. Your tour ends with drop-off at your Phoenix hotel in the evening.
