Make your own way to Aussie World, an hour's drive north of Brisbane and 0.6 miles (1 km) north of the Caloundra exit (190). A public parking lot is available (fees at your own expense), and public transport is available with Translink. Route 615 picks up from Maroochydore, Alexandra Headlands, Mooloolaba, Sippy Downs, Aussie World, and Landsborough Train Station. With your general admission ticket, you can enjoy Aussie World's 30-plus rides and attractions for an activity-filled day of family time. The theme park is just one part of the greater Aussie World Retail Village and The Pub at Aussie World precinct, which consists of a flower shop, pie shop, a fudge shop, gift shops, and more. Rides and attractions include but are not limited to: Ballroom Blitz: One of Aussie World's latest additions; it will have you soaring 50 feet (15 meters) in the air as your legs hang and the spinning begins. Bug Run: A new roller coaster focused on the little ones (minimum 39 inches (100 cm) tall to ride); the bright green coaster will have you winding through a fantasy garden filled with giant leaves, bugs, mushrooms. and butterflies. Ferris Wheel: This classic 1960s ride takes you high in the sky to enjoy a view of the Sunshine Coast and hinterland. Redback: Has been voted the most-thrilling ride at Aussie World; an impressive 52 feet (16 meters) in height with a clockwise and counterclockwise circular rotation on a platform with outward-facing seats. Watch out, it's got bite. The Plunge: Prepare to get wet on this water slide. Jump on board a hollowed-out log, and be propelled by flowing water through a waterway before climbing upward and then plunging down a high-speed ramp.
