With more than 1000 years of practice and tradition, the Venetians have all but perfected the art of making gondolas. Utilizing the simple oar and oarlock mechanism (known as the "Remo e' Forcola" in Italian), these boats glide across placid canals to safely transport goods and people through the water. You private gondola ride can be booked on request with a specific date and time of your choosing in mind. Once your voucher and date is confirmed, simply tell the operator what time you would like to go for your ride and they will do their best to accommodate your schedule. Although most boats are designed for two passengers and a professional Gondolier, you can upgrade your ride to include additional passengers.
It is Italian tradition for couples to kiss when passing under bridges, and this either 1 hour ride will pass under at least two as you circle the quieter residential canal areas near the water. Each ride includes gourmet chocolates and a non-alcoholic beverage (wine or champagne are available for purchase).
