Day 1: Delhi- Jaipur
During the early hours of the day, the private chauffeur will pick you up from your hotel lobby and you shall be driven to Jaipur- capital of Indian state of Rajasthan in the comfort of air-conditioned private vehicle. Upon arrival in Jaipur, after a 5 hour journey (approx), check-in at the Surya Villa Hotel. Rest, freshen up and brace yourself to spend a nice evening in Jaipur.
An English speaking guide will pick you up from the hotel and drive you to the red-sandstone structure of Hawa Mahal. The exterior of the crown of lord Krishna is adorn with small windows. Simultaneously the guide will brief you about the perfect blend of Hindu-Rajput architecture which can be witnessed in its marvelous archways. Next make your way to the City Palace which resembles the perfect picture of Indian architecture and art. Stroll through the well maintained gardens and marvel at the Royal costumes and weapons that have been put on display. Overnight at the Surya Villa Hotel
Day 2: Be part of the Holi celebrations (B, L)
After breakfast in the morning, participate in the Holi Celebrations which will be conducted in the hotel itself. At this Heritage Hotel, their traditional Indian family will join you. Sit around and learn about the significance of Holi and its associated festivals. All the guests present will be provided with traditional Indian Turbans and Kurta Pyjama to adorn themselves like Rajasthani folks (as per the choice).
Later when you have learned about the whereabouts of the festival play safe Holi with dry and wet rainbow colored organic powder. Every guest present will be served with traditional special festive homemade specialties like Gujiya and Mathri along with soft beverages. Thereafter treat your taste buds with delicious typical Rajasthani food.
Day 3: Jaipur- Delhi (B)
After a sumptuous breakfast check out of the hotel to enjoy a half day tour to some of the legendary monuments of Jaipur, popularly known as the Pink City. Proceed to visit Amber Fort which is a ten minute walk uphill overlooking Maota Lake and your little trek will be worth the wonders that it offers. As you enter the 16th century magnificent fort, marvel at the artistic style, blending both Hindu and Rajput elements, built in yellow and pink sandstone, and white marble. Amber Fort has many pavilions, courtyards and halls of great interest thus making it one of the principal tourist attractions. The fort was mainly built as a defensive military place against warring enemies.
Next head to Rajasthan’s oldest museum—Albert Hall Museum. Stroll through the galleries and exhibition halls which display cultural artifacts, uniqueness of the dresses and jewelry of all the classes and tribes of Rajasthani people. Darbar Hall has the largest floor covering in the world.
