Private guide for a more personalized experience
This tour is a specific for the Milan cathedral and with a private tour guide - just you and your guide.
The tour guide will meet you in a prearranged place or you can meet up at your hotel. The tour will start behind the cathedral, where in 1386 the Milanese people started building the Gothic church. You will walk toward the facade and will skip the line to enter.
Before getting to know the art works inside you will take the stairs to go below the church where you will see a 1600 years old baptistery and what is left of the church and graves that were here before the Duomo was built. You will then go back to the inside to discover the art works: the stained glass windows, the bishop’s graves, the statues, paintings and the altar. You will also see saint Charles’s grave, a great bishop who lived 400 years ago.
You will exit the cathedral and take the elevator to get to the rooftop and watch the city and monuments. The tour ends on the rooftop, you can stay there as long as you want or go back down with your tour guide.
