Explore the history of tequila in Sinaloa through a hike in the off beaten paths inside a tropical deciduous forest, the agave plantations, and the secluded ruins of a former distillery.
While we make our way to the ruins, a local leader will be commenting entertaining stories, legends and tales from our ancestors for you to understand the importance of the local ecosystem and the legacy of the tequila. If we are lucky, you will get to have a close encounter with the fauna, such as, white-tailed deers, wild boars, black-throated Magpie-Jay, and the west mexican chachalaca.
Let’s relax the pace by walking around an ancient hacienda with over 130 years, which is where the tequila factory lies.
Your assigned local leader will show and explain to you the artisanal process of manufacturing the agave that makes Los Osuna Tequila a world-wide awarded distilled.
After visiting the factory, it’s time to toast with a tequila tasting under the shade of the vegetation. To the good times!
Following our toast, you will head up to the hacienda where we started participating in the making of a delightful Mexican meal, made only with the best local ingredients.
