Itinerary

Day 1: Maun – Okavango Delta (unescorted) (L/D)
On arrival at Maun International Airport you will board a charter flight to the Okavango Delta.
Considered one of Nature's masterpieces, the Okavango Delta offers an insight into one of Africa's truly great wildernesses. Protected by the Moremi Game Reserve and numerous private wildlife concessions, the Okavango Delta is home to huge numbers of elephant, buffalo, lion, hippo, giraffe and zebra.

Overnight: Moremi Crossing or similar

Day 2: Okavango Delta (unescorted) (B/L/D)
Spend a full day relaxing and enjoying this beautiful oasis that creates a haven for Africa’s most celebrated wildlife. Alternatively enjoy optional & for own account activities such as mokoro (dugout canoe) excursions, bush walks and boat cruises.

Overnight: Moremi Crossing or similar

Day 3: Okavango Delta – Gweta (B/D)
After breakfast, board a charter flight to Maun, from where the journey continues to the endless, white salt pans of Botswana. The shimmering salt pans of Makgadikgadi along with the Nxai Pans are believed to be the largest in the world. The pans are the remains of a once-ancient lake that now forms part of the route of Southern Africa's largest remaining migration. During the rainy season the pans are one of the most important wetland areas in Botswana, coming alive with water birds and great herds of game.

Overnight: Planet Baobab or similar

Day 4: Gweta (B/D)
Explore the Ntwetwe Pan with a local guide that will explain the incredible adaptations of the species that are unique to the Kalahari Desert environment. Discover the surrounds in search of bat-eared foxes, ground squirrels and other unique desert species and learn of their incredible struggle against the elements of Africa's harshest wilderness. Get up close and personal with a resident gang of habituated meerkats (weather permitting), and see how these incredibly social, superbly adapted animals interact with each other and their environment.

Overnight: Planet Baobab or similar

Day 5: Gweta – Chobe (B/D)
After a breathtaking experience in the Makgadikgadi, it’s time to continue to Chobe. Travel through the small village of Nata. This area is well known for its cattle farming and approximately 75% of the residents are from the Basarwa Tribe, also known as the Bushmen or San. Not far from the village is the Nata Bird Sanctuary – a community project with some 165 bird species recorded in the area. Continue via a route referred to as the “game drive route”, as there is always a possibility of seeing wildlife along the way.

Overnight: Chobe Safari Lodge or similar

Day 6: Chobe (B/D)
Enjoy a thrilling morning open-vehicle game drive in the Chobe National Park, the second largest in Botswana, known for its superb game viewing all year round, as it has one of the largest populations of game on the African continent. Join a breathtaking afternoon sunset cruise, in search of magnificent wildlife sightings.

Overnight: Chobe Safari Lodge or similar

Day 7: Chobe – Kasane (B)
After breakfast, transfer from the lodge to Kasane Airport.
