Day 1: Madrid - Caceres - Cordoba (D)
Meet at a central location in Madrid for 8am departure to Extremadura, stopping for lunch and independent time to explore the medieval town of Caceres, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Meet back up for an afternoon trip to Cordoba. Dinner and overnight.
Day 2: Cordoba - Seville (B, L)
After breakfast, take a morning tour of Cordoba that includes an iconic building that's been both a mosque and cathedral, as well as the historic Jewish Quarter. Following your tour, depart for Seville for lunch and an overnight, with a free afternoon to explore the city.
Day 3: Seville (B, one additional meal)
Start the day with a morning tour of Seville, including the Maria Luisa Park, Plaza de España, an exterior stop at the striking cathedral, and the Giralda, with a guided walk through the Santa Cruz Quarter. If desired, you can extend the guided tour to include the Alcazar, then enjoy an afternoon of free time in Seville.
Day 4: Seville - Ronda - Marbella (B, D)
After breakfast, board the bus for a trip through Andalusia's white villages and the picture-perfect town of Ronda, where you'll have free time to explore on your own. Continue to the Costa del Sol for dinner and an overnight in Marbella.
Day 5: Marbella - Tarifa - Tangier - Fes (ferry, B, D)
After breakfast, board the bus to Tarifa, where you'll catch the ferry across the Strait of Gibraltar to Tangier. Continue to Fez for dinner and an overnight.
Day 6: Fez (B, one additional meal)
Start the day with a city tour, visiting the seven gates of the Royal Palace, the Jewish quarter, or Mellah, Bab Bou Jeloud Gate, and the Medersa, the oldest university in the world. Continue to the Kairaouine Mosque and the tanners district, then spend a free afternoon in the historic medina, a UNESCO World Heritage Centre. Overnight in Fez.
Day 7: Fes - Meknes - Rabat - Tangier (B, D)
After breakfast, depart to Meknes to visit one of the Imperial Cities of the seventeenth century, located in the heart of the Middle Atlas Mountains. Enter the old town walls through the Bab Al Mansour gate, among the most beautiful in Morocco, then continue to Rabat, the capital of Morocco. Make an exterior stop at the King's Royal Palace, see the Mausoleum of Mohamed V, and visit the Hassan Tower, a minaret and symbol of the city. Enjoy some free time on your own, then continue to Tangier for dinner and an overnight.
Day 8: Tangier - Marbella (ferry, B, D)
Eat breakfast, then begin the ferry trip back to Spain. Dinner and an overnight in Marbella.
Day 9: Marbella - Granada (B, D)
After breakfast, depart to Granada for a tour of the spectacular Alhambra, including the beautiful Nazari Palaces and the Generalife. In the evening you'll have the option to add a visit to the Sacromonte Caves and a zambra flamenco show. Dinner and overnight in Granada.
Day 10: Granada - Toledo - Madrid (B, L)
Eat breakfast, then make a morning departure to the Imperial City of Toledo for lunch and a sightseeing tour of the historic center. After lunch, continue to Madrid, where this tour concludes at the original departure point.
