Depart at 7am from Tesoro Los Cabos on the Cabo San Lucas marina for this 9-hour wildlife adventure focusing on the whale shark, the largest fish in the world. Head north to La Paz, a 2,5 hours road trip through the desert. Once there, you'll get a thorough briefing from your marine biologist guide on the whale sharks: animal and species description, distribution and dangers (for the animal), identification methods and research results and much more. Board the boat and head out into the Gulf of California to find these gentle giants. Once you do, don your snorkel gear and jump in to get a closer look. Whale sharks feed on plankton and small fish, so they're no danger to humans. When your boat returns to shore, dig into a taco and quesadilla lunch before returning to Cabo San Lucas, including a stop on the way to the mystical outpost of Todos Santos. Ask for our optional visit to the "Whale Museum" of La Paz, a must for animal lovers. A wonderful day trip to get to know the Baja California Sur region.
