Experience in 8 hours the greatest highlights of Lisbon with our knowledgeable and entertaining guides who will take you to the wonderful places that you cannot miss while your stay in Lisbon. After pick-up from your hotel (in Lisbon), we start our tour at the park Eduardo VII, the largest park in central Lisbon.
We will drive you through main Avenue of Lisbon and through the principal square “Rossio”. You will visit Lisbon Cathedral (Sé de Lisboa), the Roman Catholic church that is the oldest church in the city. Then we will visit the best viewpoint of Lisbon with a magnificent view above the Graça quarter, the medieval castle St. George and Renaissance downtown “Baixa” rebuilt after the great earthquake of 1755.
On the way to the famous Praça do Comércio we will take you along the Bohemian neighborhood Bairro Alto. The Tagus river by the 25th April Bridge – the first bridge connecting Lisbon with the other side of the river. Heading the ''Cristo Rei'' statue located in Almada town we will have the opportunity to see Lisbon from a different perspective.
While the tour we will explore the heart of Portugal’s capital at the ground and from the river too. During 2 hours of the boat cruise we will enjoy fantastic relaxing time and scenic views at Lisbon. After the cruise we will take a lunch break in magnificent Belem district. Ideal stop after a lunch is the oldest bakery “Pastel de Belem” where we can experience as a dessert famous creamy custard “Pastel de Belem”. From there we will walk to the Unesco listed Hieronymites monastery and enter the most important part of the monastery which is the church with the tomb of Vasco de Gama. The monastery became the most iconic monument representing the Golden Age of Discoveries in Portugal. A little further above Tagus river from the water rises up the Tower of Belem. It was built in the early 16th century and it is a prominent example of the Portuguese architecture style – “Manuelino”. At end of our tour we will find out more about The Age of Discoveries by stopping at the Monument of Discoveries. It is the former port from where the ships of Portuguese navigators departed and started their super dangerous adventures heading unknown lands.
After the tour we will drop you back in your hotel at around 17:30.
