Overview
A tour guide along with a professional driver will pick you up from your hotel at approximately 4:00 in the morning to begin this 15-hour tour. From there, you will drive for about 3.5 hours to reach Chaco's port in Pisco town. Here, you'll be helped to board a boat and start your sightseeing cruise of the famous Ballestas Islands. The tour takes around 2.5 hours and you will see a lot of lovely families of sea lions, amazing bird-life and tiny penguins. Enjoy the scenery and surroundings and admire the rocky formations and variety of wildlife. After your tour of the island you will visit the impressive and isolated Paracas National Reserve. This natural reserve is part of the Guinness World Record for the "Driest dessert on earth". It is recommended that you bring lots of sunblock, a hat and lots of water for this portion of the tour. Your friendly tour guide will help you to know and learn about the dessert formation but you will also have the chance to see a impressive landscape with lakes where many migratory birds stop on their trip to the south or north. If you are lucky you might see the great pink flamingos. After a wonderful day trip, you'll return to Lima and head back to your hotel.
