Depart your Arenal-area hotel for a leisurely afternoon hike in Arenal 1968 Park , where you'll walk along the border of this amazing natural attraction. Your hike begins at the volcano's slopes, and although you'll be a safe distance away from the active crater, you'll still feel the excitement of walking near this majestic giant.
Inside the park, there are various hiking trails along which you’ll walk with your guide. They include both secondary forest and lava fields from previous eruptions. Feel the rush of hiking alongside an active volcano, but don't worry about coming across hot lava, as safety is the number one priority and local authorities will not hesitate to close off portions of the trails in order to keep you safe.
After your hike, it's time to relax at the hot springs and enjoy dinner! Costa Rica is known for its hot springs, and you can choose the location that best fits your needs.
