3-Day Banjaran Hot Springs Retreat from Kuala Lumpur

Nestled in a 17-acre (6-hectare) valley amid lush tropical jungle and embraced by magnificent limestone cliffs on every side, the Banjaran Hotsprings Retreat in Tambun provides luxury in perfect harmony with its natural surroundings. Designed for short-term stays with a primary focus on healthy living, the sanctuary — a 2-hour drive from Kuala Lumpur — is geared toward fitness, healthy eating, relaxation and renewal.
Enjoy 2 nights’ accommodations in a water villa includes breakfast. Each 1,667-square-foot (508-sq-meter) villa overlooks a canal that you can enjoy views of from your private balcony. You also get your own private pool, a private outdoor rain shower, and a sunken hot tub fed by natural geothermal hot springs.
Relax in the master suite’s luxurious king-size bed with a feather-bed topped mattress, down duvet, cotton-rich linens and hypoallergenic pillows. Other amenities include: aromatherapy body care products, butler service, nightly turndown service, a movie and music library, and daily yoga, among other additional retreat activities. Day 1: Kuala Lumpur – IpohA private vehicle picks you up from your Kuala Lumpur hotel or Kuala Lumpur International Airport. Relax as you’re driven north to Sunway City in Tambun, where the only natural hot springs resort in West Malaysia is located. You’ll journey along the scenic highway for about two hours, covering a distance of 125 miles (200 km) until you reach your destination, which is 15 minutes from the city of Ipoh.
Upon check-in, you can abandon all worldly concerns and stresses. Rest on your comfortable king-size bed; open a book in the ensuite seating area; or refresh in your private pool, outdoor rain shower, or the sunken hot tub fed by natural geothermal hot springs.
During the day, you might explore on a half-hour jungle walk through the deep limestone hills. Lunch and dinner can be purchased at the resort's on-site restaurant (own expense).

Day 2: Ipoh (B)Spend an entire day free to enjoy your Water Villa as you please, or make use of an array of therapeutic facilities. If you’d like, dip into the Geo Thermal Pool, Geo Thermal Steam Cave, Ice Bath, Meditation Cave, Crystal Cave, Therapeutic Reflexology Pool, Garra Rufa Doctor Fish Pool or Freeform Swimming Pool, or head to the Spa and Wellness Center to select from a variety of holistic treatments (see descriptions below).

Day 3: Ipoh – Kuala Lumpur (B)After two nights of relaxation and rejuvenation, check out at noon and make the return journey to Kuala Lumpur by private car, with drop-off at the airport or your hotel. (Departure time is flexible, depending on the time of your flight.)
