3-Day Pangkor Island Trip from Kuala Lumpur

Day 1: Kuala Lumpur - Pangkor Island (B)
On your first day, depart from your Kuala Lumpur hotel for a 3.5-hour drive to Lumut by comfortable coach. On the way, pass by Malaysian kampongs (villages) and wooden houses that are raised above the ground on stilts with large verandahs where families can relax. Admire the banana palms, coconut trees, guava trees and durian trees surrounding the kampongs. From your window, you’ll also spot oil palm tree plantations in the midst of the lush landscape. Arrive in the coastal town of Lumut at noon and then travel to Pangkor Island by ferry.
Spend time exploring the island on your own. Feel free to walk or cycle around the island, measuring 3 square miles (8 square km). Pangkor is famous for its fine beaches. Visit Teluk Nipah, one of the most picturesque beaches on the island, and spot colorful corals and vibrant fish in the water.
In the evening, you’ll stay at the 4-star Pangkor Laut Resort. This luxurious resort is the perfect vacation getaway. Surrounded by hills covered in lush forests, the Pangkor Laut Resort is located on a secluded bay on a stretch of white beach. Relax and admire the stunning landscapes with the turquoise Andaman Sea sparkling in the distance.
Day 2: Pangkor Island (B)
Spend your free day however you please. Go for a walk around the resort, or simply lounge around and relax. Choose from various exciting water activities, such as parasailing, jet skiing, catamaran sailing, snorkeling, canoeing or sport fishing (costs not included).
If you prefer to stay on land, take a half-day jungle trek across the island and discover the lush forest and wildlife (cost not included). Then spend another relaxing evening at Pangkor Laut Resort.
Day 3: Pangkor Island - Kuala Lumpur (B)
After enjoying a delicious complimentary breakfast at the resort, enjoy a scenic ride by air-conditioned coach back to Kuala Lumpur.
