4-Night Independent Trip to Athens and Mykonos from Istanbul

How you spend your time in Athens and on Mykonos island is up to you, but a ticket for a 24-hour Athens hop-on hop-off tour, a morning tour of Delos, and your airport, port and hotel transfers are included. Aside from breakfasts at your hotels, all other food, drinks, and additional activities are at your own expense.
All hotels are subject to availability at time of booking. In the rare event that the mentioned 3-, 4- or 5-star hotel is unavailable, you will be accommodated in another hotel of the same star rating.

Day 1: Istanbul – AthensStart with a transfer from your European-side Istanbul hotel to the city’s Ataturk Airport to catch your 1.5-hour flight to Athens. On arrival, relax with a transfer to your hotel. After check-in, the rest of your day is yours to get to know the city. Perhaps stroll around leafy Syntagma Square to see the Vouli parliament building and National Gardens, shop for souvenirs, or savor moreish Greek cooking at a tavern.

Day 2: Athens (B)After breakfast, perhaps use your 24-hour hop-on hop-off bus ticket to sightsee around Athens. Disembark at any of the 15 stops to view must-sees such as the Panathenian Stadium and Changing of the Guard, and be sure to hop off at the Acropolis of Athens, the city’s UNESCO-listed showstopper. Admire the buildings atop the rock, including the Parthenon, and check out the nearby Agora of Athens, once the main marketplace.
In the evening, why not check out the bustling Plaka district? The atmospheric Athens Old Town is filled with lively tavernas, bars and nightclubs.

Day 3: Athens – Mykonos (B) 
Check out of your hotel after breakfast, and transfer to Piraeus port for your ferry to Mykonos. Blessed with golden beaches, whitewashed towns and rustic windmills, this rugged island gem is a style capital and is well-known for its nightlife. Check in to your hotel in the Mykonos Town area and get to know the glamorous island at your own pace. Lounge by the pool, explore the shops, or visit the stone windmills perched above the island’s capital. In the evening, dine out at a colorful taverna or test Mykonos’ party scene at a downtown club. Overnight: 3-star Hotel New Aeolos, 4-star Hotel Lady Anna or 5-star Hotel Apollonia Bay in the Mykonos Town area
Day 4: Mykonos (B) 
After breakfast, travel independently to the Mykonos port for your half-day trip to Delos, the nearby UNESCO-listed island that’s scattered with ancient ruins. Meet your guide and the rest of your group, and cruise to the island, seen as the birthplace of the Greek gods Apollo and Artemis by the ancient Greeks. Explore the ruins of temples and houses with your guide, and visit Delos Archaeological Museum to ogle artifacts recovered from the site. Return to Mykonos in the afternoon, and spend the rest of your last day as you please.

Day 5: Mykonos (B) 
After breakfast, check out of your hotel, and finish your 4-night independent tour on Mykonos.
