Day 1 - Istanbul You will be met at the airport and transferred to your hotel. Tonight, meet your guide and the rest of your group. Overnight Istanbul, Hilton Double Tree Piyalepasa Day 2 - Istanbul Old City After breakfast, you'll enjoy a fully guided tour of the only city to span two continents, visiting the Blue Mosque, St Sophia Museum Museum, Topkapi Palace and the Hippodrome. Late in the afternoon, you'll drive to Harbiye Military Museum for a short visit. Overnight Istanbul, Hilton Double Tree Piyalepasa (B) Day 3 - Gallipoli Battlefields Depart for the Gallipoli Peninsula early morning and tour the place where the Anzac legend was born. Highlights will include the original trenches and tunnels, Anzac Cove, Lone Pine and Chunuk Bair Memorials, Johnston's Jolly and The Nek. Short ferry ride across the Dardanelles. Overnight Çanakkale, Iris Hotel (B,D) Day 4 - Troy Today, visit the archaeological ruins of Troy and enjoy a BBQ lunch. As soon as you're able, cross the Dardanelles to the Gallipoli Peninsula and head straight to the Dawn Service area to secure the best spot possible. (B,L) Day 5 - Anzac Day at Gallipoli At first light you'll commemorate our fallen forefathers during the moving Anzac Day Dawn Service. You will also have the chance to attend the Australian or New Zealand Memorial Service before the drive to your hotel for some well-deserved rest. Overnight Assos (D) Day 6 - Pergamum Today, head south to the resort town of Kusadasi. On the way, enjoy a guided tour of the magnificent acropolis of the ancient city of Pergamum. Overnight Kuşadası, Suhan 360 (B,D) Day 7 - Ephesus, Sirince Absorb yourself in history today. Visit Temple of Artemis and a guided tour of the ancient city and stadium of Ephesus. Carpet weaving has long traditions in Turkey. Learn how carpets are made by hand and what determines their value before an afternoon visit to the former Greek village of Sirince. Overnight Kuşadası Suhan 360 (B,D) Day 8 - Pamukkale, Hierapolis This morning, you will enjoy a display of locally handcrafted leather goods before driving east for the calcium terraces of Pamukkale. You'll also visit the ruined city of Hierapolis. Overnight Pamukkale, Colossae Thermal Hotel (B,D) Day 9 - Silk Road, Konya, Cappadocia Continue east along the old Silk Road. Take time out along the way to visit the Mevlana Whirling Dervish Museum in Konya. Overnight Cappadocia, Ramada Cappadocia (B,D) Day 10 - Goreme, Underground City Tour the Goreme open-air museum, Pasabag, Uchisar Castle and one of the region's fascinating underground cities, home to early Christians who hid underground to escape Roman persecution. Overnight Cappadocia, Ramada Cappadocia (B,D) Day 11 - Ankara, Istanbul Head for exotic Istanbul, stopping to visit the nation's capital, Ankara, and the Mausoleum of Ataturk, to learn a little about why he is so revered in this country. Overnight Istanbul, Hilton Double Tree Piyalepasa (B) Day 12 - Istanbul After breakfast, your tour concludes. (B)
