On this tour, gain insight into Switzerland's history while learning about the famous Jungfrau region and enjoying behind-the-scenes access to the William Tell Open-Air Theatre.
Meet your guide in central Interlaken and hop aboard the public bus (free with your Interlaken visitor’s card) to the William Tell Open-Air Theatre in nearby Matten. On arrival, follow your guide on a backstage tour and gain insight into the story and performance about to unfold. According to legend, William Tell was a 15th-century Swiss hero skilled in the art of the crossbow. He found fame after fighting for freedom, killing a tyrannical landlord and sparking a revolution, and has enjoyed a special place in Swiss folklore ever since. After the tour, travel by bus to Unterseen and follow your guide on a tour of the town. Gain insight into its rich culture and heritage, and discover watch shops and grand bank buildings. Visit the Unterseen Tourist Museum, where over 200 years of tourism in the Jungfrau region are detailed with interesting exhibits from a bygone era.
