Hue and Vietnam DMZ 2-Day Sightseeing Trip from Hoi An

Itinerary

Day 1: Hoi An – Hue (-/L/D)

Stop At: Hai Van Pass, Lang Co, Phu Loc District, Thua Thien - Hue Province
Head to Hue, along the North coast of Da Nang to the top of Hai Van Pass where bunkers remaining from the war can be explored
Duration: 15 minutes

Stop At: Hue Imperial City (The Citadel), Hue, Thua Thien - Hue Province
Upon arrival in Hue, we will visit the Citadel, Hue’s prime attraction containing the Imperial City, the Forbidden Purple City and the Emperor’s Private Residence. After our time at the Citadel, we will have lunch before checking into a hotel.
Duration: 40 minutes

Stop At: Thien Mu Pagoda, Hue, Thua Thien - Hue Province
In the afternoon, we will visit Thien Mu pagoda
Duration: 30 minutes

Stop At: Tomb of Khai Dinh, Thua Thien - Hue Province

Duration: 30 minutes

Stop At: Dong Ba Market, Hue, Thua Thien - Hue Province
go shopping at Dong Ba Riverside Market. Return to the hotel for the evening.
Duration: 30 minutes

Day 2: Hue – DMZ – Hoi An (B/L/-)

Stop At: Hien Luong Bridge flagpole
Start with an early morning pick-up from the hotel in Hue and drive along the coastal area to visit the DMZ (Demilitarized Zone). This area is set in the rugged, jungle-shrouded mountains along the Vietnam - Laos border of South Vietnam. Our tour will continue with a trip to Quang Tri Citadel, Hien Luong Bridge and Seventeenth Parallel - the former borderline between North and South Vietnam during the Vietnam War
Duration: 15 minutes

Stop At: Vinh Moc Tunnel, Dong Ha, Quang Tri Province
We will then visit Vinh Moc Tunnels, which were used to shelter people from the intense bombings during the Vietnam War and Con Tien Firebase.
Duration: 1 hour
