4-Night Hanoi and Halong Bay Private Tour

Explore the stunning islands, caves, archways, and floating villages of Halong Bay, and get a taste of Vietnam's capital, Hanoi, on this 4-night private tour. See a water puppet show, take a food tour, and explore Hanoi on foot. Cruise for two nights through the surreal marine landscape of Halong Bay, kayak to desert islands and marine caves, visit a pearl farm, fish for squid, and feast on the freshest of fresh seafood. The tour begins and ends in Hanoi.

Day 1: Hanoi (no meals)
Your private town car will meet your flight at Hanoi International Airport for the 1-hour drive to your Hanoi hotel. After a rest, your guide will show you around the neighborhood and escort you to a traditional, early evening water puppet show.

Day 2: Hanoi – Halong Bay (B, L, D)
After breakfast at the hotel, your guide and driver will collect you around 8-8:30am for the 3.5-hour journey to Halong Bay. Crew members will welcome you and brief you on the cruise while you enjoy your welcome drink, before checking in to your cabin. Lunch on fresh seafood at 1pm, while cruising through this surreal landscape. At 3:30pm, you'll drop anchor for a sea-kayak tour around Luon Cave, before sailing to Soi Sim Island to swim, sunbathe, or climb to the peak with its panoramic view of the bay. Catch a spectacular sunset on-board ship before dinner at 7pm, after which you can choose to learn to fish for squid.

Day 3: Halong Bay (B, L, D)
The day begins at 6:30am with tai chi practice, a photo hunt, or a lie-in. After breakfast at 8:30am, transfer to a day boat for a cruise to Lan Ha Bay, where you'll explore the Dark & Light Cave by sea kayak, and discover some island beaches. You'll enjoy a barbecue lunch on board the day boat, before more kayaking or beach-hopping in Lan Ha Bay. Around 2pm, visit a floating pearl farm and discover the technique for farming high-quality pearls, with swimming at Three Peaches Beach if weather permits. Then cruise back to the main boat with free time before dinner at 7pm.

Day 4: Halong Bay – Hanoi (B, L, D)
Start the day with tai chi, a photo hunt, or a lie-in before enjoying a sunrise breakfast. At 8:30am you'll set out to explore Sung Sot Cave, the most beautiful cave in Halong Bay, before returning to the boat and checking out of your cabin. As you cruise past Ba Hang fishing village, Dog Islet, and other landmarks, enjoy a 10:30am cooking demonstration before a traditional Vietnamese lunch. By noon, you'll be back at the harbor and en route to your Hanoi city center hotel. Check in around 4:30pm, then relax before the evening's Hanoi street food tour.

In the morning, enjoy breakfast at your hotel. The rest of the day is free time until your driver transfers you to Hanoi International Airport to meet your flight.
