Guides are English-speaking drivers born and raised in Tuscany. Create a private tour according to your own needs with your guide suggesting the best places to stop and the most famous of the small family wineries to visit.
The driver will pick you up and return you to your hotel at the end of the day, and will be at your disposal all day long.
Chianti is a vast territory between Florence and Siena in the heart of Tuscany. It’s a region known for wine and olive oil production as well as for the magnificent landscape.
During the tour:
- Visit a couple or several wineries accompanied by the owner or a winemaker explaining the different steps of processing the wine (from the fermentation to the bottling).
- Then, get to tasting! Enjoy a glass of Chianti Classico, Chianti Reserve, Tuscan dessert wine or a prominent white wine. Learn the complex characteristics of each wine from your expert guide while you taste. Enjoy the opportunity to taste olive oil or balsamic vinegar. You can buy their honey and other typical products of the farm visited. (tasting fees not included)
- Visit small villages such as Greve, Panzano, Castellina or Radda in Chianti and ancient castles, hidden among green hills and surrounded by vineyards and olive groves.
- Lunch in a local restaurant or "trattoria" or, upon request, in a "family wine farm" where traditional food is served accompanied by their own wines (lunch is at your own expense).
This tour is a perfect combination of culinary delights, arts and culture.
