You will spend an unforgettable day discovering the most impressive Ligurian landscapes. In this area, which has been declared World Heritage Site by UNESCO, earth and sea blend created a unique landscape. The area consists of kilometers of rocky coasts with caves, beaches, hiking paths and breathtaking views.
Depart early in the morning from Florence and with a panoramic highway you'll reach in around 2hours the region of Liguria. Get off from the bus in La Spezia and take the first express train into Cinque Terre. Getting off in Manarola you'll fall in love with this colorful village and get some free time to walk around and to take unique photos to bring back home. This tiny urban jewel is characterized by Genoese style ‘case-torri’ and if you wish you can visit San Lorenzo church located on the top of the village.
Afterword, take another train to Vernazza the most picturesque village and the only one that still has the remains of a Medieval castle with a cylindrical tower, that if you wish you can climb and from the top the view will leave you speechless. Take the chance to visit the main Saint Margaret church located in the main square a steep away from the crystalline seaside.
After Vernazza take another train and in 5 minutes ride you'll reach Monterosso al Mare, the biggest village of Cinque Terre known as the ‘pearl of Cinque Terre’. This ancient fishing village with lovely beaches and lush vegetation covering the rocks will certainly enchant you. If you decide to have lunch with us you’ll taste a typical Ligurian meal in a local Restaurant. After lunch you will have free time for a swim or a walk around the village.
Later in the afternoon with a stunning boat ride you’ll reach Portovenere an elegant and popular touristic destination where nature and human architecture are perfectly balanced. Enjoy some free time in this place, wander in its ancient streets, discover its hidden spots and visit Saint Peter Church a small Gothic style church that offer incredible views of the Gulf of the Poets.
After Portovenere with another boat ride you'll reach the port of La Spezia, where the bus will be waiting for you. Then, start a pleasant ride back to Florence where the tour will end.
