This 8-day cruise allows you to see Mother Nature at her best, be welcomed in to one of the world's friendliest cultures, discover an underwater world of vibrant life, laze on countless golden sand beaches, and luxuriate in warm lagoons. See the dramatic changes in landscape, right from the little palm-covered Mamanucas, to the rugged, majestic southern Yasawa Islands to the vivid Blue Lagoon, framed by picture-perfect beaches. Visit a remote Yasawa Island village and be part of a traditional kava ceremony, enjoy a 'Meke' traditional dance performance and browse the village market, socialize with Yasawan locals over a traditional feast cooked and enjoyed in their village. You will be carried away to paradise with a full day relaxing at the private beach on Nanuya Lailai Island, take a guided walk across an island to one of the South Pacific’s most remote cafes, Lo's Tea Shop, learn the Fijian arts of basket weaving, wood carving. Learn to cook traditional dishes, get to know the ‘reef locals’ with the fascinating activity of fish feeding or swim with sharks or manta rays (seasonal). See the coral reef without getting wet from our glass bottom boat and snorkel to your heart’s content (several snorkeling trips per day). Sit down to a dinner you’ll never forget: a delicious Fijian lovo feast on our private beach under the stars. Step ashore at tiny Modriki Island, attend an island village church service, soak up the scenery of the strikingly beautiful Sacred Islands. Take the opportunity to swim in the caverns of the famous and scared Sawa-I-Lau Caves for stunning views. Visit a Yasawa Island village school and meet the children, cool off in calm, crystal clear lagoons, and laze on the most beautiful beaches and get into the full swing of Fiji Time. For additional costs you can dive at some of Fiji’s most colorful reefs or catch some big ones on a sport fishing trip.
Day 1: Friday - You will be picked up from your hotel and set sail aboard Fiji Princess and enjoy afternoon tea as you head out from Port Denarau for the outer Mamanucas. Your first destination is at the gorgeous, secluded Modriki Island and cocktails are served with canapés on the sun deck. Mingle with fellow passengers and look out over the tranquil waters as the sun sets. You will be served the Captain's Welcome Dinner, an a la carte menu in the dining saloon. Anchorage MODRIKI ISLAND
Day 2: Saturday – You will go to a very special location where you will get to swim with reef sharks! Of course, they are only gentle reef sharks, but they still make for a great snorkel experience! Back on-board, you will cruise into the waters around Naviti and Soso Bay. A tasty lunch is served on-board before heading ashore for a visit to the chiefly village of Soso. You’ll be welcomed in traditional fashion with a kava ceremony, before being shown through the village. Back on Fiji Princess, ease into the evening with cocktails served at the sun deck, followed by a 'Thali' buffet dinner featuring exquisite Indian dishes. The evening may turn into a Bollywood extravaganza. Help yourself to the fancy dress box and put on your boogie shoes for some 'Bollywood Dancing' after dinner on the upper deck, complete with Bollywood movies on the big screen. Day 3: Sunday - There is a special opportunity to attend a village church service, which you’ll find to be a very moving experience. The atmosphere, singing and uniqueness of where you are will provide a great memory to remind you of the wonderful people of Fiji. Lunch is served on board as you cruise to your next slice of paradise, not far away. You can partake in a Fijian cooking lesson and help prepare a tasty Fijian fish-dish, Kokoda. Basket weaving is another traditional Fijian craft, which you can try your hand at. Dinner buffet has a range of dishes from Fiji along with a choice of European dishes. Bingo will be held in the dining room with lots of laughs and some good prizes! Anchorage between NAUKACUVU and NARARA ISLANDS
Day 4: Monday - After a dedicated high-speed catamaran transfer a big “BULA” welcome will see you aboard Fiji Princess. Check in and enjoy lunch onboard, while enjoying the breathtaking backdrop of the Sacred Islands. Spend the afternoon swimming, snorkelling and relaxing until we cruise to the beautiful Yalobi Bay for the night. Fiji style high tea is served following a cooking lesson on how to make ‘Roti in Lolo’. Watch the sunset during happy hour and try your hand in the coconut bowls competition. Tonight, enjoy the Captain’s Dinner, an a-la-carte menu served in the dining saloon and entertainment provided by our talented singing, dancing and guitar playing crew. Anchorage YALOBI BAY
Day 5: Tuesday - This superb stretch of water is ringed by islands and includes our very own private island peninsula. Check out the stunning azure water. Watch as the crew position the vessel right up to the beach and tie her off to the coconut trees. Happy hour on shore with canapés is served followed by a very special night enjoying a traditional Lovo meal cooked underground. Dine on the beach under the coconut palms and the tropical stars. The evening will continue with a Fijian meke, singing, dancing, and storytelling by local villagers. Anchorage NANUYA LAILAI, THE BLUE LAGOON
Day 6: Wednesday - An easy-guided island walk with panoramic views is offered this morning. Visit an island-style cake shop and browse the shell market. Laze in the sun or try your hand at basket weaving. Both diving and a guided snorkelling safari are on offer today. Lunch is served on board as Fiji Princess cruises north for a private guided visit to the amazing Sawa-i-Lau caves. The village of Tamasua welcomes us to a yaqona ceremony, a guided walk around the village and a village style “feast” prepared and cooked by the village women. You’ll be Fijian for the night, sitting on mats, and eating Fijian village food. Anchorage just off TAMASUA BAY, YASAWA ISLAND
Day 7: Thursday - Cruise to Drawaqa Island where our Marine Biologist joins us for a presentation about the local marine life and the volunteer conservation work carried out in the area. During May to October, you’ll have the opportunity to snorkel with the magnificent manta rays. Also on offer today is an excursion to the local island school to view the work of the Vinaka Fiji Volunteers. Abseiling off an island cliff top down to stunning waters is another great option. Dinner this evening is a barbecue served under the stars followed by party night Fiji style. Anchorage DRAWAQA ISLAND
Day 8: Friday - An early start for the crew as unfortunately it is time to cruise for home and return to Denarau Marina. Enjoy breakfast on-board as Fiji Princess cruises back toward her home port. All guests will be fare-welled with the traditional Isa Lei song from the crew, as your exploration of the beautiful Yasawa Islands comes to an end. Vinaka vakalevu and we hope to see you again!
