Overview
Seabit el Khadim is a settlement in the desert, where the remains of the Pharaonic temple of Hathor stands on a massive rocky outcrop at an altitude of 850 metres above sea level in the highlands of Sinai. Bedouins here are still living the quiet traditional life. Goats and sheep are grazed on the dunes, camels roam freely, water is collected from reservoirs or pumped from wells, and every member of the family is involved in looking after the house and guests.
Leave Dahab at 8.00 am to drive to St. Catherine’s Monastery. After lunch drive to Serabit el Khadeem where you will view the fantastic glow of the evening sunset. Overnight will be spent at a Bedouin Camp. You will visit the Hathor Temple and Wadi Mukattab the following day, before returning to Dahab at approximately 17.00.
