Diep (pronounced "Yeep") lives with her husband, young baby, and her parents in a typical family home in Danang. She loves to travel and seeks out traditional dishes when she explores a new place. She believes this is the best way to meet locals, hear their voices, and truly get to know a place.
The family’s cooking revolves around the seasons and they visit the market every day to find the freshest produce, meat and seafood. Diep and her family serve home-style central Vietnamese dishes and you will get to try traditional cuisine such as a soup like canh chua ca (sour fish soup) or a vegetable soup, a main dish of meat or seafood (like her mother’s muc nhoi thit, stuffed squid), stuffed tofu, stuffed bitter melon, and fresh vegetable dishes such as stir-fried morning glory or chayote, crispy tofu in tomato-egg sauce, and rice. You will end your meal with fresh, seasonal fruit and tea. The menu will vary based on the season.
