Overview
• Day 1: Flight to the Imperial city of the IncasA Valencia Cusco representative will take care of you and transfer you to your hotel in the city centre. At this stage, either you can enjoy the Inca city and colonial heritage on your own and provide you some tips to eat at some local restaurants. Or you might want to rest and wait until later on in the evening, when Cusco city shows off its night live. • Day 2: Open day at leisureYou can take the option to tour the beautiful Sacred Valley at an additional cost and visit Pisac, Urubamba, Ollantaytambo and the Chinchero market. Otherwise, you can explore Cusco on your own and get acclimated to the altitude. • Day 3: Time to start our adventure, on the way to Lares ValleyYou'll depart from Cusco early in the morning and travel to the town of Ollantaytambo in the Sacred Valley. After 4 hours of driving, arrive at the Quechua community of Patakancha, where people live like their Incan ancestors. An interaction with the community and school will take place, then meet your trekking crew, load your kit, and start your spectacular hike to the Andes. Lunch and dinner are included on this day. Comfortable campsite for the night. • Day 4: Huacahuasi - Lares Hot springsAfter breakfast, descend for about three hours until you reach the community of Huacahuasi. Trek for 3-4 hours to the hot springs near the colonial village of Lares, where the campsite has been set up. Take a refreshing bath at the famous hot springs before enjoying dinner and a good sleep in your tent. • Day 5 : Lares - Ollantaytambo - Aguas Calientes!Board a bus will early in the morning for a 2-hour drive to a short trail by the Totora canyon. Rest and have lunch in the Incan town of Ollantaytambo before taking a train to Aguas Calientes in the afternoon. Spend the night in a hotel in Aguas Calientes, and soak in the hot springs if you wish. • Day 6: Machu Picchu in its Glory – big day!After breakfast at your hotel, your guide will pick you up at 5:40am for the bus ride up to majestic Machu Picchu. Catch the sunrise and begin your 2-hour walking tour with a guide. After the tour, explore the mysterious city on your own before meeting your guide back in Aguas Calientes to have lunch and to get your train tickets back to your hotel in Cusco. • Day 7: Bye Bye Cusco and Fly to Lima!On your last day (Day 7), you'll have a free day in Cusco before being transferred to the airport to take your flight back to Lima.
