Why ride when you can glide?
Riding on a Segway isn’t rocket science, so when you arrive our friendly staff will personally teach you the do’s and don’ts. Then it’s your chance to whiz around a little bit on our inside track, which is dedicated for this purpose. Don't worry if it's your first time - it's very easy and our guests usually have it down within a few minutes! When you’re comfortable, your local expert guide will give you directions and then it’s time for an adventure.
On this fun-packed 1-hour adventure, you will cruise past one of the longest pedestrian streets in the world, Strøget, and hear about Copenhagen’s bicycle culture and what makes it so unique. You will experience the city’s most famous hotel, D’Angleterre, and hear tales about its famous visitors, as well as hear about Denmark’s oldest shopping mall, Magasin Du Nord, that feature a hidden gem your guide of course will indulge you with on the tour.
As you glide past the oldest theater in town, the Royal Theatre, you will get ready to experience one of Copenhagen’s most iconic and picturesque harbors, Nyhavn (New Harbor). As you take in the stunning views, your guide will divulge its shady history and let you in on the secrets that only locals know about the harbor. You will of course also have the chance to stop and take a picture, where your guide will be more than welcome to show you the best locations and act as a paparazzi for you.
Exiting Nyhavn, we cross the much discussed new bicycle bridge in Copenhagen and take in stunning views over the harbor. On the Christianshavn (Christiansharbor) side, we talk a little bit about new nordic cuisine in front of one of the most known Michelin restaurants in the world, NOMA. On our way to the Opera house, your guide will let you know the secrets of why Christianshavn (Christiansharbor) may resemble Amsterdam a little bit, while letting you know of one of the best top-side views you can get in Copenhagen.
At the Opera house, you’re free to have a little bit of fast-paced fun on your Segway before stopping for a picture with one of the most iconic and breathtaking views in Copenhagen. On our way home, you will hear puns about Denmark’s biggest rivals, Sweden, and hear about a king that suffered from delusions of grandeur. You will also be let in on a secret about how you can get your hands on a gold-bar while you’re in Copenhagen, as well as hear about Danish politics in front of the Parliament of Denmark, Christiansborg.
Having taken that in, we are comfortably back at our office located within the inner heart of the city. Here you’ll be provided with a small Segway souvenir, a complimentary refreshment and a map over the city with your local experts personal recommendations.
Please note that we reserve the right to change the route slightly in case of delays, roadworks, or other circumstances that would require us to do so.
