8-Day Sri Lanka Classic Tour

Itinerary

Day 1: Airport - Habarana

Pass By: Habarana Lake, Habarana, North Central Province
Upon landing at Bandaranaike International Airport in Colombo, you will be met by a tour representative and receive a garland of flowers. Then proceed to Habarana. Check in at the hotel, and enjoy the rest of the day to relax at your leisure.

Day 2: Habarana – Anuradhapura – Mihintale – Habarana

Stop At: Mahamevnawa Dhammachethiya Buddhist Monastery Anuradhapura, Anuradhapura, North Central Province
After breakfast, visit the sacred city of Anuradhapura, followed by a visit to Mihintale in the afternoon.
Duration: 4 hours

Day 3: Habarana - Sigiriya – Polonnaruwa – Habarana

Stop At: Ancient City of Sigiriya, Sigiriya, Central Province
After breakfast, visit and climb the famous Sigiriya Rock Fortress. Afterward, visit the medieval capital of Polonnaruwa.

Day 4: Habarana – Dambulla – Kandy

Stop At: Kandy Lake Club - Cultural Dance Show, Kandy, Kandy District, Central Province
After breakfast, leave for Kandy, stopping by Dambulla Rock Cave Temple on the way. Then explore a spice garden and a batik factory before arriving in Kandy, where you'll check in at the hotel. In the evening, enjoy a performance of Kandyan dance, and visit the Dalada Maligawa (Temple of the Tooth).

Day 5: Kandy - Nuwara Eliya

Stop At: Nuwara Eliya Golf Course, Nuwara Eliya, Central Province
After breakfast, tour the city of Kandy and go souvenir shopping. Then visit the Royal Botanical Garden before continuing to Nuwara Eliya, stopping at a tea factory en route. Afterward, visit the golf course, Victoria Park, and Gregory Lake.

Day 6: Nuwara Eliya - Tissamaharama

Stop At: Yala National Park, Sri Lanka
After breakfast, depart for Kataragama, visiting Ravana waterfalls on the way. Check in at the hotel, and then leave for a 4x4 jeep safari in Yala National Park in the mid-afternoon.

Day 7: Tissamaharama - Galle - Colombo

Stop At: Colombo Fort, Colombo, Western Province
After breakfast, transfer back to Colombo, visiting Hambantota Salterns and the Stilt Fisherman at Weligama en route, followed by the Galle Fort. In Colombo, take a city tour to end your Sri Lanka exploration.

Day 8: Colombo - Airport

Pass By: Colombo Airport Transfer, Colombo, Western Province
