You will meet your guide in Skinnskatteberg between 4pm and 6:30pm, depending on the season. This 5-hour small-group tour begins with an introduction to Sweden’s wildlife, as well as practical advice to increase your chances of encountering moose and other wild animals in the forest. Your guide will then drive you to the beautiful Swedish taiga forest, where you will enjoy the serenity and eat an outdoor meal together.
You will spend the rest of the evening hiking and driving through the forest in search of moose and other wildlife. Listening to the sounds of the forest and seeing millions of stars come out as dusk falls is an experience you will never forget. Your guide will teach you different ways of communicating with moose, as well as ways of tracking them via hoof prints, fresh droppings, and bite marks. Moose have been seen on every tour of this kind for more than 15 years. However, you must observe the animals from a respectful distance and never feed them. After dark, your guide will drive you back to Skinnskatteberg, where you can return to civilization with lots of newfound knowledge and a great respect for nature.
