Overview

Day 1: Cape Point - Stellenbosch
Get picked up in the morning by luxury minivan and travel to your first stop at Hout Bay. Wander around the city's charming market, or opt for an optional Duiker Island cruise (own expense) to see the Cape fur seals. Continue to the Cape of Good Hope and stop at Cape Point nature reserve. Observe wildlife in the local "fynbos" landscape, and walk to the lighthouse where the waves of the Atlantic Ocean crash against Africa’s southwestern tip. Head inland to walk the historic streets of Stellenbosch enjoying local treats.
Overnight in Stellenbosch 4-star Roosenwijn or similar
Day 2: Franschhoek - Cape Agulhas (B)
Visit the township of Kayamandi to experience a taste of Xhosa culture by visiting a local's home, be treated to ginger beer and Xhosa treats such as amagwinya and chakalaka. Then visit popular wine estates near Stellenbosch and Franschhoek. Sample some of the country’s most acclaimed wines, pairing them with locally-produced chocolate or 'biltong'. In Franschhoek, you’ll have free time to spend at your leisure, a perfect place for lunch in what many consider to be South Africa’s gourmet capital.
Travel to Cape Agulhas to a stone marker indicating the most southern tip of Africa where the continent meets with the mighty Atlantic and Indian Oceans. A graveyard of ancient shipwrecks along this legendary 'Cape of Storms' reminds of many tragic and mysterious tales of failed expeditions.
Overnight in Cape Agulhas at 4-star Agulhas Country Lodge or similar
Day 3: Hermanus - Cape Town (B)  Wake up to the sound of the ocean in Cape Agulhas. You’ll then start the short journey to the coastal haven of Hermanus where winding ocean cliff paths await and are sure to enthral. Nature lovers will be thrilled by the rich birdlife and the chance to see local marine life frolicking about. Hermanus is also one of the best land-based whale watching locations the world, so you can look forward to trying to spot a few southern right whales during whale season from Jun to Nov.
You could hop on an optional whale cruise in search of some cavorting whales (during whale season), or choose to stretch those sea legs with an optional guided sea kayaking experience. Test your grit as you glide across the open ocean and spot various wildlife. For a tamer pace, have a whale of a time in the seaside town of Hermanus, littered with curio shops, fine restaurants and an unmistakable old world charm.
The thriving African penguin colony at Betty’s Bay adds the final nature wow. Being one of the only remaining breeding grounds of the African penguin, these clumsy creatures are sure to pull on your heartstrings. Flap a wave goodbye as you head on along one of South Africa’s most scenic coastal routes - Clarence Drive - to reach Cape Town by late afternoon.
