Their establishment pays homage to western history whether the classic or modern cowboy. Here you will find three brothers and their sister working hard to fulfill a family dream. They will share their engaging, sassy story of the Farmer's Daughter as you sample their tasty brews. All you need is a campfire with a strumming guitar, under the starlit sky to make this scene picture perfect.
You will continue your journey, as the landscape quickly transforms from the gentle rolling slopes of the foothills to the impressive, awe-inspiring strength of the mountains. Your views will be completely immersed by the Rockies as you arrive at Grizzly Paw Brewery. No need for bear spray here. These folks welcome any visitor wanting to try their beer or soda with a warm, yet firm bear hug. Impressive as the mountains, the beautiful timber framed brewery has a remarkable presence. After some samples of their beer and soda you continue the Grizzly Paw story by jumping over to the Grizzly Paw Restaurant where you will enjoy some local cuisine with a pint or soda, of your choice.
Canmore is a hot bed for craft producers, not only breweries but distilleries as well. After your bellies are satisfied, there is a quick five minute ride to the next stop - the Canmore Brewing Company. Originally from eastern Canada these folks love the outdoors, which they respect, and love. This passion is apparent in every beer they craft.
Your last mountain stop is Banff Brewing Company and Pub located right in the heart of Banff on the trendy Banff Avenue. A true Alberta success story with four locations scattered across the province, every location praises their beer as fresh, modern, honest, and innovative. Enjoy some stories and beer with your guide who believes there is an occasion for every beer.
As you head back to Calgary, relax and enjoy true Alberta scenery transformation melt away from ridged mountains, sloping foothills to the expansive prairie and agricultural rich farm land. The last stop of your adventure will be at Bottlescrew Bill’s. This iconic establishment is a pioneer and trail blazer in their own right. Established in the early eighties, they were the first pub in Calgary to allow local craft beer on tap. Now with over 300 beers on their menu, they are the ultimate ambassador for the craft beer industry. Enjoy some appetizers and two more pints as your guide says, “Adieu”, and takes his leave.
