Pickup from a centrally located meeting point
Climb Mount Warning in the morning to reach the highest point in the region and see the amazing views over the Byron hinterland, to Cape Byron Lighthouse and to the skyline of Surfers Paradise. The 9km, 4 hour self-guided roundtrip walk that takes you through subtropical World Heritage-listed rainforest and, upon ascent, offers 360 degree ocean and Byron hinterland views. It never fails to inspire. After your walk enjoy a delicious, locally sourced BBQ in the peaceful and uncrowded forest setting right at the foot of Mount Warning National Park. Weave your way through beautiful landscape as you return by road to Byron Bay.

The 9 km return Summit Walk is self guided
Pick up at 9:00am sharp (NSW! not QLD time) from the Byron Bay Visitor Information Center at 80 Jonson Street, Byron Bay, NSW 2481 (it’s a yellow cottage style building just behind the main bus stop). Please wait in front of the entrance of Byron Bay Visitor Centre on the veranda. PLEASE DON’T WAIT AT THE MAIN BUS STOP SINCE IT CAN BE VERY BUSY THERE AND HARD FOR US TO FIND EACH OTHER.
Returns to original departure point at approximately 4:30pm
