2-Day Buffalo Day Trip from New York City by Train

On this 2-day trip, board the Amtrak Train from Penn Station New York in the morning and travel north via the Hudson River waterfront. Enjoy scenic views as you travel through upstate New York to Buffalo, NY, an industrial capital in the early 20th century.
You will be met by a driver/guide who will escort you to the city that has undergone a wonderful transformation in recent years including a redeveloped waterfront and revitalized neighborhoods. Visit Frank Lloyd Wright structures, Frederick Law Olmsted parks, walk through the Grand Hotel designed by the AIA’s first female architect...and so much more.  Did you know that the staple in almost every USA restaurant, yes Buffalo wings, was invented at the city’s Anchor Bar?!
In the morning, wake up and visit the Andy Warhol at the Albright-Knox Art Gallery followed by shopping in trendy Elmwood Village, Take in the scene at Canal side or Larkin Square. You can upgrade with various options including a visit to Niagara Falls, enjoy the world famous Maid of the Mist & the Niagara Theater.
Visit Buffalo’s waterfront district, if it’s warm enough, get out on the water via kayak, paddleboard, cruise and more or catch an evening sunset.  Buffalo is known for it amazing architecture from sprawling city-wide park system designed by world famous Frederick Law Olmsted and Calvert Vaux to exemplary works by architects like Louis Sullivan, Frank Lloyd Wright, and H. H. Richardson.  At the end of the 2nd day, you'll be ready for a relaxing trip back to New York to reflect on an unusual mini vacation!
