Enjoy a 10-day tour of Buenos Aires and Iguazu Falls, the jewels of Argentina. Itinerary
Day 1: Arrival in Argentina
Meet a representative at the airport/port in Buenos Aires and head to the Rooney's Boutique Hotel. Once you're settled in, it'll be time for you to jump right in.There is a saying: "It takes one lesson to learn the tango, and a lifetime to improve it." An individual Tango class will be provided for you by experienced instructors for you to experience the passion and sensuality of this dance.
Once you've finished with your lesson, you'll move on to dinner at the famous Chiquilin Restaurante. Here you will be able to enjoy world-famous Argentine beef and malbec wine.
Day 2: Buenos Aires (B) (D)
After breakfast, enjoy a city tour to discover Buenos Aires' spirit, mystique and charm. In the evening, enjoy a great Tango show and delicious dinner at “El Querandí” dedicated to the icon, Carlos Gardel. Afterwards, you'll be taken back to your hotel.
Day 3: Gaucho Fiesta at Estancia Susana (B) (L)
Today, you will be taken out to the pampas of Buenos Aires to a typical ranch were you will be able to enjoy and gain an insight to the “Gaucho” culture. Learn about the Gauchos who are famous horsemen and work the ranches of Argentina. They have wonderful traditions which includes folklore, music, dance and sport. At the Gaucho party you will be received with wine and empanadas. Then, you will visit the Estancia museum and church. You will then learn about the horses and sulky trips and then enjoy a typical Argentine BBQ with wine and a folklore show with Malambo and a demonstration of Gaucho skills.
Day 4: Tigre Delta and Milonga (B) (L)
Today you will visit Tigre Delta (called simply Tigre), which is a group of islands, natural reserve and wildlife. This is one of the few touristic Deltas in the world and a preferred destination for many people to go during the weekend.You will enjoy a tour of this area as you travel through the delta by boat and see the river, its big trees, channels, houses, wharf, boats and healthy life around. Then, enjoy lunch and visit to the famous fruit market to then be transferred back to the hotel. In the evening, you will visit a typical Milonga which is a bar where people meet to dance to Tango. Here you will see that Tango is not just a dance but a lifestyle as you see young and old practice this dance.
Day 5: Colonia de Uruguay (B) (L)
Today you will go to the other side of Rio del Plata to visit the city of Colonia. You will take a fast ferry to get there and enjoy a relaxing day seeing this quaint and historic town that has been declared of historical national interest by UNESCO. You will travel back in time as you visit its streets and see its buildings during your guided tour. You will enjoy lunch at local restaurant and then head back to your hotel.
DAY 6: Football Match (B)
Argentina is renowned for its passion for football. To go to a game during your stay in Buenos Aires is an experience not to be missed. Depending on the game schedule, you will see the famous Boca Juniors (team of Maradonna) or one of the other local teams such as River Plate.
Day 7: Buenos Aires to Iguazu (B)
After breakfast, go to the airport to take a flight to Iguazu Falls. Once there, you'll transfer to Grand Crucero Iguazu Hotel and spend the day at your leisure exploring Puerto Iguazu.
Day 8: Iguazu Falls (Argentine side) (B)
After breakfast, enjoy a full day tour of the Argentine side of the Iguazu Falls and see this incredible section of the Iguazu River. See the mist over the Devil's Throat where endless rainbows are formed. Expect to get wet and feel exhilarated with the spray and close contact of the power of the falls. The ecological train and boat ride is included.
Day 9: Iguazu Falls (Brazilian side) (B)
At around noon, you will be picked up from the hotel to cross the Argentine/Brazilian border to enter the Iguazu National Park on the Brazil side. Here, you will enjoy a great panoramic view of the Falls during a walking tour through the passages that connect the different observation points. In the evening, head to the airport to catch your flight to Buenos Aires. Once you land, you'll have a pick-up and transfer to Rooney's Boutique hotel.
DAY 10: Buenos Aires (B)
Transfer to the airport after breakfast to take flight home.
