We take you around the residential barrios in the north of the city, the Recoleta cemetery, the woods and lakes in Palermo and the fashionable Palermo Soho. We start this tour at our shop in Palermo, on 2269 Armenia St. Once on our bikes, we start the tour ready to see a traditional and aristocratic part of town, an area with residential neighborhoods, French-style buildings and beautiful parks.
Our first destination is the Cementerio de la Recoleta, the oldest cemetery in town and a real work of art by itself. There you’ll be encouraged to leave the bikes aside and walk around to better look at the impressive tombs and mausoleums, where the remains of artists, politicians and great personalities of the Argentine history rest.
We grab our bikes once again and cycle through the panoramic bike path on Avenida Del Libertador, heading to the Bosques de Palermo area. Once there, we get caught up in the tranquility of its woods and lakes to simply ride around and enjoy the view. In a place like this, it’s not possible for an Argentine to miss the opportunity of drinking mate with some bizcochitos (traditional butter-based biscuits), and we’re doing it, of course!
We will also visit El Rosedal and the planetarium, a futuristic site that’s become an unquestionable landmark of Buenos Aires. When we head back, we’ll ride through an area of exclusive restaurants, bars and design shops, in the flourishing Palermo Soho, finishing the tour at our shop.
