7-Day Trip to Transylvania: Halloween Midnight Tales from Bucharest

Day 1 | Bucharest City Tour
Upon arriving in Romania, the first city to greet you is Bucharest. The atmosphere might seem familiar – modern buildings, historical monuments, and the busy streets of a restless city. You will begin a journey to another world, one populated by vampires, mythical creatures and weird phenomena that baffle us to this day. In Bucharest, we'll visit a small chapel inhabited by only one monk as well as other historical centers.

Day 2 | Bucharest – Sibiu
After breakfast, we will head out to Sibiu, taking the former trade route used hundreds of years ago by armies, caravans, or fugitives, and visit the Old Town with its large and picturesque square where we’ll learn some of the secrets guarded by the city walls. Some of the main attractions of the day include the Brukenthal Museum, the Evangelical Church and the Bridge of Lies.

Day 3 | Sibiu – Hunedoara – Turda
After breakfast, we will continue our trip through the region of Transylvania, making our first stop at the famous Corvin Castle. Our journey will then take us to Turda where we will visit a spectacular and unique site, the Turda Salt Mine.

 Day 4 | Turda - Biertan – Sighisoara – Bran
Our day will begin with a visit to Biertan where we will visit the famous fortified church dating back to the Middle Ages. Around mid-day, we’ll visit a place where history mingles with everyday life: Sighisoara is one of the few European fortresses that is still inhabited.

Day 5 | Bran - Brasov City Tour –  Dracula Castle – Bran
After a healthy breakfast, we will start our day by driving to the beautiful Brasov, a city covered by a Middle Age atmosphere and visit the famous Black Church, the largest gothic cathedral in Southeastern Europe. In the evening you will have the chance to visit the famous Bran Castle. Count Dracula will be your good host until past midnight, when he will invite you to his private party, in a tent placed in the Royal Park.

Day 6 | Bran – Campfire
After an energetic Halloween party comes the day for relaxation. We'll all sleep late and rest, and you'll have the day at your disposal.
In the evening we will have a campfire and a tasty dinner with fresh local products.

Day 7 | Departure
On your final day, we will drive through the Prahova Valley and head to Sinaia. Here you'll visit the remarkable Peles Castle and then head to Bucharest for departure.
