Your private tour guide will pick you up from your hotels lobby at 9:00am to start the garden adventures.
Your first stop is the Summer Palace (first built in 1,750), a masterpiece of Chinese landscape garden design. The natural landscape of hills and open water is combined with artificial features such as pavilions, halls (Hall of Benevolence and Longevity, Hall of Happiness and Longevity, and etc), palaces, temples and bridges (such as Seventeen Arches Bridge) to form a harmonious ensemble of outstanding aesthetic value. Using Kunming Lake, the former reservoir of the Yuan dynasty’s capital and Longevity Hill as the basic framework, the Summer Palace combined political and administrative, residential, spiritual, and recreational functions within a landscape of lakes and mountains, in accordance with the Chinese philosophy of balancing the works of man with nature. You will also see the famous Qingyan Stone Boat there.
Continue to the Old Summer Palace, a veritable museum of garden construction and horticulture. It's Chinese name is Yuanminyuan, which means "Garden of Gardens". It was constructed during the 18th and early 19th century and was a wonderland of lakes and waterways, bridges, hills and pavilions. However, it was destroyed in 1860.
Your authentic Chinese lunch will be served in a local restaurant.
Then, drive pass by the most famous 2008 Beijing Olympic stadiums to see famous Birds Nest and Water Cube Stadiums.
At the end of the Tour, you will be transferred to your hotel in Beijing City.
