3-Day Private Xi’an Tour from Beijing: Terracotta Warriors, Ancient City Wall and Big Wild Goose Pagoda

Choose from two tour options: enjoy round-trip transport between Beijing and Xi'an by air or take the train to Xi'an and fly back to Beijing. Both tour options include hotel pickup and drop-off in Beijing, and feature the same itinerary but in different orders.

Option A: Includes one-way train ticket from Beijing to Xi’an, all transport in Xi’an, one-way return flight from Xi’an to Beijing and hotel pickup and drop-off in Beijing

Day 1: Beijing -- Xian
In the evening, you’ll be picked up from your Beijing hotel and taken to the train station for an overnight train ride to Xi’an. You’ll be treated to the Soft Sleeper accommodation, which features comfortable, spacious living spaces with soft bunk beds.

Day 2: Xian (B,L,D)
Your train will arrive in Xi’an in the morning, and you’ll be taken to your hotel for breakfast. After breakfast, your second day begins with a fascinating tour of the Mausoleum of the First Qin Emperor, a UNESCO World Heritage Site that houses the Terracotta Army (or the Terracotta Warriors and Horses). This amazing archaeological site features a collection of terracotta sculptures depicting the armies of Qin Shi Huang, the first Emperor of China. Your guide will explain that these figures are buried with the emperor to protect him in his afterlife.
At midday, have lunch and then return to Xi’an in the afternoon for a visit to the Big Wild Goose Pagoda, a Buddhist pagoda built in 652 during the Tang Dynasty. Explore the interior with your guide and learn how this religious site's purpose was to house Buddha figurines that were brought to China from India.
Enjoy an evening tour of the Muslim quarter. Pass shops selling various kinds of local Shaanxi produce, arts and crafts, and stop by a local restaurant carefully chosen by your guide to enjoy a dinner of Muslim specialties.

Overnight: 4-Star Hotel in Xi’an or similar

Day 3: Xian -- Beijing (B,L)
After breakfast at your hotel, you’ll be taken on a morning tour of the Ancient City Wall, a wall stretching around the entire city that was erected in the 14th century by Ming Dynasty rulers. Observe gates, tunnels, watch towers and battlements and learn about the significance of these structures from your guide. Next, visit the Shaanxi History Museum, one of the first large state museums with modern facilities in China. Browse interesting cultural and historical relics – the museum displays more than 300,000 items – including murals, paintings, pottery and coins, as well as bronze, gold and silver objects.
Enjoy your last lunch and then relax on the ride to the airport for your afternoon flight back to Beijing. When you arrive, you'll be picked up and dropped off at your hotel.
Option B: Includes round-trip airfare between Beijing and Xi’an, all transfers in Xi’an and hotel pickup and drop-off in Beijing
Day 1: Beijing -- Xi'an (L,D)
You’ll be picked up from your Beijing hotel in the morning and taken to the airport for your flight to Xi'an. Upon arrival, you’ll be taken on a tour of Xi'an's Ancient City Wall and Shaanxi History Museum, similar to day 3 of Option A.
In the evening, take a guided stroll through the Muslim quarter. Pass shops selling various kinds of local Shaanxi produce, art and crafts, and stop by a local restaurant to enjoy a dinner of Muslim specialties.

Overnight: Ramada Hotel in Xi’an or similar

Day 2: Xi'an (B,L,D)
Enjoy breakfast at your hotel, followed by a full-day tour to the Terracotta Warriors and Big Wild Goose Pagoda, similar to day 2 of Option A, followed by dinner at a local restaurant in Xi'an.

Overnight: Ramada Hotel in Xi’an or similar

Day 3: Xi'an -- Beijing (B)
Enjoy breakfast at your hotel before being taken to the airport for your return flight to Beijing. You’ll be picked up upon arrival and taken back to your Beijing hotel.
