Overview
Enjoy a scenic ride on horseback through the breathtaking front range of the Canadian Rocky Mountains. The trails through the backcountry surrounding Boundary Ranch are some of the most superb and picturesque in Alberta, providing captivating views of the rolling terrain, wooded expanses, and the peaks of the Kananaskis Mountain Range. The 1-hour Buffalo Loop is an ideal introduction to horses and trail riding. Relax and enjoy the scenery as you travel through the wooded terrain surrounding Boundary Ranch. Catch glimpses of the Kananaskis Range towering against blue Alberta skies. This ride is a family favorite! Your guides will start by matching you with one of the safe and reliable horses. These animals are sturdy, experienced, and delighted to connect with you and show you their mountain home. Before heading out of the corral, your guides will coach you through a brief orientation to horses and trail riding, and happily answer any of your questions. Each trip is guided by qualified staff and limited to a walking pace for your safety and comfort. Riding through the landscape allows for exploration of remote areas, for spectacular panoramic photos, as well as the opportunity to encounter deer, moose, elk, and other wildlife native to the area.
