Full-Day Kyrenia and Famagusta Excursion from Ayia Napa

Be picked up from your Ayia Napa hotel at approximately 8:35am. From there you will start traveling toward Famagusta's town center. The trek will drive right next to the ghost town, the fenced sealed-off area of the town, which remains trapped in a time-lock since the Turkish invasion of Cyprus in 1974. Then, arrive at Famagusta's old town center where an hour of free time will be given to enjoy the surroundings of this beautiful coastal town, famous for its golden sandy beaches, it's old Venetian walls and the Gothic church of Saint Nicholas.

Driving through Pentadaktilos Mountain Range, the tour will arrive at Bellapais Abbey, a masterpiece of Gothic art. It's construction was completed in the 13th century AD by the White Canons, a Roman Catholic religious order founded by Saint Norbert. The Abbey also offers breathtaking views of the coast of Kerynia and a pleasant atmosphere of tranquility.

The final stop is in the northern part of the island at the town of Kerynia, a city with more than 3,000 years of Greek history. There will be approximately 2 hours given for lunch (at own expense) and sightseeing. There, you can also visit the Kerynia picturesque harbor and the castle of Kerynia, which hosts the remains of one of the oldest shipwrecks in the world (optional, at own expense). Then, be returned to your hotel in Ayia Napa after.
